Sea serpent near Seattle

A surfer describes the head of a strange creature  that emerged “only a few feet from me.” The hairy head he estimated to be at least three feet in diameter, resembling a cross between that of a cow and a dog. The neck was six feet long. The encounter, early in May of 2009, was around some kelp beds.

  1. This surfer gave his opinion that the huge creature was “a herbivore.” But it gives me a chilly recollection of reading about the account of Edward Brian McCleary, who witnessed the deaths of his friends when they were attacked by a sea monster off the Florida coast in 1965. Of the five young skin-divers, only McCleary survived. The neck of that monster was not six feet long but “about twelve feet long.”
